So Coyne and I are sitting by the pool, talking to our friends Caitlyn and Courtney, when all of a sudden Coyne says "AAHHH! rrrrrRRRRRgg!" We all turn to him and ask what he was doing in time to see him smack something out of the air and land in the pool. He had gotten stung by a bee, and smacked it into the pool out of anger. Coyne whips out his knife and expertly removes the stinger with the sharp blade. None of us thought the bee sting was that big of a deal, at least until the next day. It is about ten o'clock the next morning and Coyne can't make a fist as he does some of the remaining dishes from the pr
evious night. I get up, say good morning, he shows me his hand and we are off to go get some Benadryl and an ice pack. A few hours later we are over at Caitlyn and Courtney's apartment watching Heroes and using their wifi, when the Benadryl kicks in, and it was time for Coyne to take a nap on the couch with his ice pack while Caitlyn and I finished up what we were doing on our laptops. After he woke up we watched some Heroes season 1 which we had gotten Caitlyn hooked on the previous night after watching the season finale of Lost season 4. Coyne went to go talk to some nursing student friends because the swelling hadn't really gone down and they told him there wasn't really anything else he could do about it. I am running under the assumption that the swelling is due to a killer bee getting it's revenge from being drowned by him in the pool, because killer bees have powers like that.
That was Monday and Tuesday, now it is Wednesday and the internet came today. No more late nights stealing wifi from APU's West Campus, no more needing to go over to someone else's place to use theirs, now it is us who have the internet. Having faster non-APU internet, plus no visitation hours, plus our media center setup means our apartment is the hangout spot among our friends. We may not have couches, but we do have blankets, pillows, and a 52" TV.Interview with Coyne:
